Weatherization Assistance focuses on energy conservation, health, and safety by performing energy audits and other services to improve the energy efficiency of the homes of low-income families.

The Weatherization Assistance Program provides services to reduce the energy costs and improve the energy efficiency of the homes of low-income families. Energy audits are conducted to determine which energy efficiency measures are most appropriate and cost effective for each home. The focus is on energy conservation, health and safety. The Weatherization Assistance program received funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. A two-man crew and many outside contractors were able to provide services on 118 housing units.

** Request for Qualified Contractors

The purpose of this Request for Qualified Contractors is to identify entities that are capable of subcontracting with Audubon Area Community Services to provide weatherization services. Services include, but are not limited to: HVAC replacement and repair; air sealing; water heather replacement and repair; insulation; window and door replacement and repair; general electrical; plumbing; general repair and other related services.

Respondents who meet the minimum qualifications will be placed onto the agency's Approved Contractor Listing and will be eligible to bid on weatherization projects as they arise. This RFQ does not guarantee that any goods or services will be purchased from respondents, nor that any contract will be awarded.
